No extra shipping

Educational and wellness use only. Oral results are not a dental diagnosis and should not replace regular dental care.

What it measures

A clearer picture of what you are feeding.

We use 16S rRNA sequencing to identify key bacteria in your gut, then translate the useful parts into context: diversity, notable groups, and food patterns that may help support what is there.

We are honest about what this science can and cannot say. Your microbiome is powerful, personal, and still being understood. We will explain what is well-supported, and we will say so when something is still early.

What's in the kit

Spoon-in-cap collection tube

A collection tube with an easy spoon-in-cap design.

Room-temperature stabilizer

A stabilizing solution that protects your sample at room temperature.

Optional oral collection kit

The Gut + Oral option adds a saliva-based oral microbiome collection kit inside the same box.

Prepaid return mailer

A prepaid return mailer — no cold pack, no clinic.

Instructions & registration code

Step-by-step instructions and your registration code.

How it works

From a home sample to a usable guide.

01

Choose your kit

Pick an individual gut kit, add oral testing, or choose couples and family options depending on who wants results.

02

Collect at home

Use the spoon-cap gut tube, and complete the saliva collection too if you choose the Gut + Oral option.

03

Mail it back

Drop it in the prepaid mailer; the lab handles the sequencing.

04

Get your field guide

Your report comes back with plain-English context and food ideas you can actually try.

Example live report

Useful enough to try. Honest enough to trust.

This preview uses imagined results to show the kind of translation we care about: less panic, more context, and next steps that can start at the grocery store.

Ecosystem score

72

B+

A resilient but somewhat narrow ecosystem: good ferment compatibility, moderate diversity, and a clear opportunity to increase butyrate-supporting foods.

Diversity74/100

Solid foundation, room to broaden species richness.

Fiber response62/100

Likely benefits from gradual prebiotic fiber variety.

Ferment fit86/100

Strong match for daily live-food support.

Balance68/100

A few dominant groups are crowding the ecosystem.

Key bacterial signals

Faecalibacterium

Butyrate-supporting group

Lower than ideal

Add resistant starch, cooked-cooled potatoes, oats, and legumes gradually.

Bifidobacterium

Fiber and polyphenol specialist

Moderate

Feed with berries, onions, garlic, oats, and fermented vegetables.

Akkermansia

Mucus-layer associated microbe

Detected, low

Support with polyphenol-rich foods like pomegranate, cranberry, and green tea.

Lactobacillus

Fermentation-associated group

Healthy signal

Maintain with raw kraut, plant variety, and steady daily routines.

30-plant rhythm

Aim for 30 different plants across a week, counting herbs, spices, legumes, seeds, grains, fruits, and vegetables.

Ferment pairing

Start with 1 forkful of Wild Origin Kraut at lunch for 7 days, then build toward a daily serving if it feels good.

Progress plan

Follow the food-first plan for 8-12 weeks, notice what changes, and use your dashboard as a guide.

The goal is not to label your gut as good or bad. The goal is to help you notice patterns, make steady food-first changes, and understand why those changes might matter.

Your field guide

Not a wall of data. A guide you'll actually use.

Your results should feel like a thoughtful note from someone who understands the science and also understands dinner.

Your diversity score

A simple read on how broad and balanced your gut community appears, with context.

Key bacteria

The groups that stand out, explained without making you decode a lab report.

Your fiber & fermentation profile

How your results may connect to fibers, ferments, and plant foods.

Oral ecosystem patterns

With the oral add-on, saliva results add context around microbial patterns connected to breath, gums, enamel environment, and oral balance.

Personalized food guidance

Practical foods and lifestyle habits to lean into, written for grocery lists and real life.

Why Wild Origin

The gut company that maps it, then helps you feed it.

Most microbiome reports leave you staring at a dashboard. We are building the kit alongside simple foods: Wild Kraut and guidance that makes the report easier to act on in real life. No supplement recommendations in Phase 1.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is this a medical diagnostic?

No. It's a wellness and educational tool to help you understand your gut microbiome. It doesn't diagnose, treat, or cure any condition — talk to your doctor about medical concerns.

What does it actually measure?

The bacteria present in your gut and how balanced and diverse your microbiome is, using 16S rRNA sequencing.

What does the oral add-on measure?

The oral add-on uses a saliva sample to look at oral microbial patterns. The report is educational and may include context related to breath, gums, enamel environment, and oral balance, but it is not a dental diagnosis.

Can I buy the oral test by itself?

Not during this launch. The oral microbiome test is available only as an add-on to the Wild Origin Microbiome Test so it can ship inside the same kit box.

How do I collect the sample?

The gut kit uses a quick at-home sample into the included spoon-cap tube. If you choose the Gut + Oral option, you will also complete a saliva collection using the oral kit instructions.

How long until I get results?

Around 2 weeks after the lab receives your sample.

Who is it for?

Anyone curious about their gut health and ready to act on it. (Not intended for diagnosing illness.)

Is my data safe?

Yes — your data is encrypted, never sold, and you can download or delete it anytime. See “Your data, protected” above.
